Project Won't Load or Save

A project is stuck on a loading spinner

• Refresh the page once — most stuck loads are a single dropped request, not a real problem with the project.
• Check your connection: Plotmuse saves and loads over the network continuously, so a flaky connection can look like a frozen page.
• Try opening the project from Dashboard → Projects directly instead of a bookmarked deep link, in case the link itself is stale.

The autosave indicator isn't updating / my edits feel lost

• Look at the autosave indicator in the editor's title bar — it confirms the moment your latest change was saved. If it hasn't moved in a while, that's the actual signal something's wrong, not the page itself.
• Don't close the tab while it shows unsaved changes — give it a moment on a slow connection.
• If a change genuinely didn't save, open Save Version in the script editor's toolbar — a recent named or automatic version is often there to restore from.

The page is slow or feels unresponsive

• This is usually a very long document (an unusually long script, or a board with a large number of items) combined with other heavy tabs open in the same browser. Closing unrelated tabs, or switching to Zen Mode in the script editor, often helps immediately.
• Try a hard refresh (clears cached assets without touching your saved data).

I see an error message instead of my project

Note the exact wording if you can, then contact us — errors are logged on our end with the time it happened, so the more specific you can be about what you were doing, the faster we can trace it.
